What We Did // The Cotswolds

Bourton on the water

The cutest (and one of the more popular) towns of the Cotswolds. Definitely a must see.

Stow on the wold

Stow on the wold

Bigger than Bourton, and just as cute. Lots of shopping and cute stores.

Daylesford organics

A very casual chic place for lunch. Reminded me of Napa…food was delicious too.

Broadway

Broadway

Another cute town, a bit smaller than the others. We went on a Sunday so we saw a farmers market.

Cheltingham

Our stay was right outside of here, so we stopped here to eat a few times. The most modern town, but had nice places to eat.

Dunkertons Cider

Dunkertons Cider

This reminded me a good hall in Wynwood. Lots of pop up food shops, with great beer and cider. Their outdoor seating was really nice.

Bicester Village

Aka designer outlet heaven. They had the BEST shops, and everything was outside which made it very pleasant to walk around. This was the farthest drive for us but it was definitely worth it.

Cotswolds wildlife center and gardens

We went here for Elle; it’s basically an outdoor zoo. Lots of grassy areas to sit and enjoy the sun. A great place if you have kids.

Bibury

We went here just to check out Arlington Row (14th century cottages). It’s a beautiful little town. Has drinks at the swan hotel patio. A quick visit.

Blenheim palace

Blenheim palace

Huge grounds with a gorgeous palace to visit. They have a few restaurants inside and the back gardens are huge - we loved walking around the gardens and spent a few hours here.
