Honeymoon Itinerary

FIRST STOP: Oman

ZIGHY BAY

WHERE WE STAYED
Six Senses Zighy Bay

WHAT WE DID
We wanted to start our honeymoon by spending relaxing quality time together, so we decided to keep our itinerary open and stay in Oman for 4 nights and lay low in paradise.

WHAT WE THOUGHT
This was a perfect start to our honeymoon. The resort was beautiful, the service was excellent, and we were really able to disconnect, relax, and unwind after an event-filled wedding weekend.

NEXT STOP: India

WHAT WE THOUGHT

The hotel property was gorgeous! The food was delicious, and the service was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Chauth Ka Barwara, RAJASTHAN

WHERE WE STAYED
Six Senses Fort Barwara

WHAT WE DID
Ranthambore Game Drives

WHAT WE THOUGHT
Of all the hotels we stayed at in India, this was my favorite. The property is an old fort (Fort Barwara), and it’s absolutely spectacular. The service was great, and the hotel also has some activities for you to do throughout the day.

AJABGARH, RAJASTHAN

WHERE WE STAYED
Amanbagh

WHAT WE DID
We mainly planned on relaxing and not doing much during this part of the trip, but we did venture out a few times to experience what the area had to offer. Everything we did here was booked through the resort.

Gaudhuli Tour
(“Cow Dust Hour” Tour) Bhangarh Tour, an abandoned town from the 16th century Tour of Ajabgarh & Ajabgarh Fort

WHAT WE THOUGHT
Given what I’ve heard about Aman properties, I expected this hotel to wow me, but it didn’t. It was a very peaceful and the property was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms were a bit dated and since we were so far removed from a big town, the power kept going off every couple of hours. However, I do have to say the service was exceptional, but the property did not blow me away.

Birthday celebrations

My birthday was a perfect day full of celebration. We started the day with a tour of Ajabgarh Fort and the abandoned village of Bhangarh (provided by the hotel). After the tour we headed back to the hotel to enjoy some downtime before our afternoon couple’s massage. We ended the day with a private gwaadi dinner, which was served for us at the property’s village house. Dinner consisted of traditional Indian foods from the area and was sourced from Amanbaugh’s private garden. Throughout dinner, a musician played some of the village’s traditional music on a local guitar-like instrument. The food was amazing, and it was a perfect ending to my 31st birthday. If you plan to stay here for a special event, I highly recommend coordinating this dinner with the hotel.

JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN

The Oberoi Rajvilas

WHAT WE DID
Pink City Tour
City Palace Tour

Krabey Island

WHERE WE STAYED
Six Senses Krabey Island

WHAT WE DID
Sit back, relax, and enjoy our last bit of down time before returning home. The resort was our own little paradise.

WHAT WE THOUGHT
This hotel is absolutely amazing. It sits on a private island, so you really feel like you’re in the middle of a jungle. The property was so peaceful, and it really helped me relax and recharge. I 100% recommend.
